Is it a good idea to collaborate with another writer to write a poem?

I have a friend that writes poetry, short stories etc. And I want to write something but this time I want to collaborate with my friend

That depends on how well you work with other people (your friend, specifically).
If the poem is going to be short, it's probably better to work alone.
Longer/more difficult poems could be easier with a friend.
