Question:

Could Someone help explain two poems by Petrarch?

I am having a hard time understanding two poems by Petrarch ( Sonnet 18 and Sonnet 28)

Part of Sonnet 18:
Ashamed sometimes thy beauties should remain
As yet unsung, sweet lady, in my rhyme;
When first I saw thee I recall the time.
Pleasing as none shall ever please again.

Part of Sonnet 28:
Alone, and lost in thought, the desert glade
Measuring I roam with ling'ring steps and slow;
And still a watchful glance around me throw,
Anxious to shun the print of human tread:

I am not able to fix the whole poems for both becaus eof space but here are the beginnings of it
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help explain these poems to me !!

Probably in the Sonnet 18 he is talking about Laura Novo I think her name was...some chick that was married and he fell in love with her anyway but they never had contact. you can find out more by putting his name in search engine....

The Sonnet 28 He is wandering alone by way of choice in a nature setting, lost in thought. He is purposely walking slow and hopes not to see signs of other people
