Question:

Will you describe a time in your life when you "hit rock bottom?"?

What happened to get you there? What was it like? How long did it last? How did you improve the situation? What did you learn from it?

Will or won't I describe "rock bottom"?

I have hit many rock bottoms. So how do I know that this is THE rock bottom for you?

At college, I got drunk, ripped off all the signs from the bulletin board, and I was going to be tried by the student court for the errors of my ways. The reason I got drunk was that I was friendless at college and was battling extreme loneliness.

I called my parents and told them I wanted to come home and they rescued me. I was extremely depressed - I felt like I was a failure, loser, misfit, outcast.

I think around 6 months passed and I went to college near my home. The situation improved because I took a break and I started over again.

I learned that a Jew like me doesn't feel well in a non-Jewish environment - I felt too different, uncomfortable and that I absolutely did not belong there.
