What's the best way to get INSPIRATION to write a poem?

HELP ME OUT WITH THIS ONE. I WANT TO STOP READING GOOD POETRY AND WRITING BAD POETRY (LIKE MY FRIEND JASON SAYS).

I would recommend that you stop trying to write poetry and instead let your poetry flow from your heart and your soul. When i actively try to write a poem i tend to write absolute rubbish but when the poem comes to me in a flash of inspiration it flows and before i know it it's written down and much better - i usually have to read it over again because i never know what the beginning says by the time i write the rest of it - from the heart not the brain
