Question:

Premo vs regualr sculpey clay?

Premo had a color I wanted, didnt feel like mixing colors. Feel like Ive been conditioning it forever and its still really dry. Is this the normal difference, or just a bad batch. Is there something premo is better for since its more expensive - Im making a mosaic, so curious if it matters.

Primo isn't as good as Sculpey, it's harder to shape and mold into a pliable form, and it tends to crack more once it's baked. I hate to say it, but Primo is kind of a waste of money. I think Sculpey is a better beginner and multi-purpose clay. But it might help soften the Primo if you leave it directly under a source of warm light like a lightbulb for about twenty minutes. Then it'll be warmer and easier to condition. Still, I would stick to Sculpey from now on, it's much better and less firm. Best of luck on your mosaic.
