Question:

What is the format in making a movie/film review?

what should be the first thing to be discussed in a movie review?
Should the plot be included or just a reaction on characters, settings, effects and the storyline itself?
Is its pattern the same with book reviews?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

1; what is the name of the movie
2; who made the movie (director, studio; actors; fx people)
3; your main interest the movie stimulated. [if you liked it, what kind of liking? the beautiful actors? the beautiful acting? the nice coloured skies? the accurate detail on cars? if you hated it , what did you hate?]
this can be a small thing.
4; how your answer to number 3 happens in other movies, and other relevant media. [does the movie respond to a political issue?]
5; what, apart from number 3 the movie is about [the director's normal movie style, the actors' career paths, the formulaic, or refreshing aspect of the movie]
6; a mark out of three.

number 3 can be one of the things you list in your question.
