Why hasn't anybody in Hollywood made a movie of the life of the prophet Mohammed

Why hasn't anybody in Hollywood made a movie of the life of the prophet Mohammed?

I'm not religious but I was wondering why no one has made a movie about Mohammed the prophet. It seems like he was a pretty interesting fellow. The world is a different place because of him and his teachings. I'm astounded that we don't know anything about him really unless we were raided in that culture. I even tried to buy a book about him at a major bookseller and had trouble finding a complete and detailed book about his life. Even if we weren't raised in that culture or religion, shouldn't we know more about him and his life.

I think because it is strictly forbidden to "portray" him in any form. His life is in the Qu'ran that's it.
