The Qu'ran features the story of Abraham and Sarah; supposedly, Islam as a faith was born when Hagar and her son were cast out of the camp in favor of Sarah's son Isaac. The spring at Mecca is believed to be the place where water sprang forth from the rocks and sand to give them succor when they were dying of thirst. Many of the Old Testament stories to that point are very similar, as the Islamic faith only branched away from Judaism at that time.

The Qu'ran also acknowledges the existence of Christ, though as a lesser Prophet than Muhammad.

Funny how fervently people who believe in the same God can hate each other so much.
