Question:

Do you think children sometimes use humor, as a form of self-healing for phychological trama(s) ? read on pls!

My wife is a born again christian, and loves our children Very Much, but when she asks them to do something, she expects them to do it immediatley OR else. All hell breaks loose, as she often puts it - if she is obeyed immediately.
Being a christian has nothing to do with it either.
I understand everybody has there own temperment.
I myself, have the potential to be easily anger, impatient, to yell and scream often. Knowing this, I went into the bible, and a few other Eastern religious paths, ways of being, to discover answers, to try and improve myself. For peace of mind, for our household, and to try and set a good example.

My son uses humor to deal with his psychological trama(s) he has often experienced.
He reads humor, joke books, likes to watch comedy movies (rent for him to watch on DVD),
he is very humorous in his nature, he likes to
occasionally watch the comedy channel on T.V.
You understand what I am saying.

I do not point out to my wife, judging her. Is humorOK

Do you think that yelling, screaming, constantly speaking degrading words, and pinching can cause psychological damage or tramatize the children(5 & 8)?

And Really - is humor a good
self-healing remedy for children ?

Honest, my son is very humorous - in a
way which does not hurt anothers feelings, or do harm in any way to another.

I think it's fine to use humor to help see the brighter side of things. I myself have done that since I was little. Just talk to him and ask if things are okay. He may be hiding behind a mask, which is what he uses humor for. You know? Just talk to him about it, he'll answer you.
