I know the story of Cinderella. The full question for my essay is this:

Your Union and University have both collected a substantial amount of Australian Art over the years. Yet they are numbered among the 'Cinderellas' of the art world. What role do you think these University collections and galleries should play in the Australian art world? How could they best achieve this role?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

The term "Cinderella" usually means a hard-working person who is unappreciated by his/her associates, and who is eventually discovered by a benefactor and elevated to a higher status.

Cinderellas in art would be unappreciated artists who eventually get the recognition they deserve.
