Question:

Autumn leaf?

Autumn leaf?
I'm taking photographs of a park in autumn for my bedroom wall. 2 photoframes with pictures of the trees and i want to put an autumn leaf in the other one.
how should i do this?

1. how should i place it in a photoframe/ should i use a shadowbox kind of frame?

2. what type of leaf is the bright red kind, and will it eventually turn brown? how can i make sure it stays firm and red?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

1 - yes you can use a shadow box - alternatively, if you have pressed it correctly, it should be able to fit behind flat glass.

2 - a maple leaf is the most commonly thought of "red autumn leaf". many sizes and types of maple to choose from. press the leaf properly, ensure it is thoroughly dried out, and you could try spraying a little clear lacquer spray over it both sides to try preserve it.

visit a plant nursery in the autumn.
