Describe the characteristics and trends in contemporary canadian native art..?

I have searched the internet far and wide it seems, but I can't find any information on this! Can anyone help me with this please?

You need to Specify a little bit !! Are you talking woodlands, prairies, west coast or Canada-wide?? In the prairies there are alot of linear, open spaced, ink and watercolor prints. Ink lines are simple and sweeping, usually depicting some sort of animal, and accompanied by groupings of similar colors. Other arts include, beading (quillwork historically), Basket Making, mocassin making etc... On the West Coast the "Haida" style of artwork is completely different. It's geometrical and busy with different shapes and symbols. Primary colors used in Haida art are Black and Red.... they are also responsible for Totem Poles....
