Firefighters Wish

As you leave the station,

May you have a safe trip.

Upon arrival,

May you be placed in God's care.

While at the site,

May you stay safe in God's hands.

While going into the fire,

May you have nerves of steel.

While doing your job,

May your body be a pomp and ceremony of safety,

For those in need of your help.

May the flames never be too hot to handle.

May you always have enough water.

May you always get your charge with:

muscles of iron,

the eye of an eagle

and the hearing of a canine.

yes i do and thank you very much. if you don't mind, my husband represents california firefighters, i read this to him. He asked me to ask you if I could send a copy to his assistant and another person. please let me know if you don't mind it might be put in the firefighters magazine.
