Question:

How can I motivate my highschool art students?

About half of them are actually interested in creating art, the other half are unmotivated, uninspired and looking for an "easy A". I try to assign open-ended projects that are free for interpretation while allowing reasonable requirements and boundaries for grades. The students that take a project and give it personal meaning, do the best job. Also need project ideas and links to any cool art stuff if you have them! Thanks!

how about having them set their assignments to music that they like? let music inspire them. in the classroom, you could play different types of music and have them create pieces inspired by it.
