Question:

Who are some of the greatest poets of our time, and the last 200 years?

I've read a little poetry, but I'm not all too familiar with leading contemporaries. I just finished Leaves of Grass, and at first it was difficult to get into, but wants I got going it was like a trip. Whitman was amazing with his meter and style. Contemporary I've read a little Ralph Angel, I found him so abstract at times I don't really get much out of his prose. Ideally, I like short and sweet, with some message to be carried away, and not too rhymy, unless it's very poignant. Ogden Nash did a good job with rhyme and humor in his poems, so I can deal with that. Robert Frost gets a tad boriing, but now and then hits you with a beautiful poem. Please enlighten me on some good poets to seek.
