Is it possible for a professional singer to get back lost octave after larynx polyp/vocal nodule removal?

or that surgery just worsen the problem make the singer cant sing at all? (high risk of destroy vocal cord)
any singer here can get upper range voice back after polyp removal?

It takes time but you can get your voice back. Tom Keiffer of Cinderella had that operation. He lost his voice for 2 months, but with training gained it back. If you want your voice, it up to you to make that call.
