Question:

What does poetic devices mean?

i have to analyze some poems and 1 of the questions is what are some poetic devices but i dont know what they are

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

One poetic device is alliteration, which is when the same letter starts each word in a sentence of the poem.
Here's an example - Brown beagles bark at brown bats.
Bats aren't bothered by the barking because they're blind to a beagle's baying. Bats believe beagles are bothersome buzzards.
Just one form of poetic device.
In a nutshell, poetic devices are tools poets use to illustrate a point while making creative use of language.

Hope that helped!
