Question:

Did Frank Lloyd Wright have a school or students from Baltimore?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

The Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture was formally initiated in 1932 when twenty-three apprentices came to live and learn at Taliesin (near Spring Green, Wisconsin).

In 1937, with the apprentices, began the construction of a new kind of desert architecture at Taliesin West (Phoenix, Arizona). This first winter in Arizona inaugurated the tradition of moving the School between Wisconsin and Arizona that still continues.

After Frank Lloyd Wright's death, the Senior Fellows incorporated an architectural firm (Taliesin Architects) to continue the practice and to mentor the apprentices. These activities now took place under the umbrella of The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Recently, the Foundation formalized the apprenticeship program into full degree program.

I was unable to locate complete a list of the hometowns of the students from the School of Architecture. However, you may wish to contact either the School or the Foundation.

There are two houses in Maryland designed by Frank Lloyd Wright: the Joseph Euchtman house in Baltimore, and the R.L.Wright house in Bethesda.
