Do you judge others at first sight?

I don't but I thought it whould be interesting to find out how other people do it.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:

You do judge everyone does. You are calling it something else.
Taking an inventory of what a person chooses to present to the world is something everyone does, it's natural. The clothes, the speech patterns, their very nature is what you use to deal with that person effectively.

Judging happens when you use that information to put someone in a box and seal the lid tight. For instance, I'm black. If you used that fact to predetermine how I will act, you are judging. If you determined because of my skin color that I was from the ghetto, uneducated and had poor speech; you would be judging.

If you just took note of the fact that I am black and waited for me to deliver the details of who I am, you would not be judging. You would be using your eyes to take an inventory.

Don't be so self righteous, you are still human, everyone one judges at one time or another. If judging people on preconceived notions begins to discolor your view of who they really are that's when there's a problem.
