Corridors

She clung to unbecoming attire
Safe to say she would think of her day
Running symmetrical with the last.
Is it all a farce?
She throws aside unwanted wraps,
To find a more becoming cloak
To encompass a, more genuine day,
Although it??s not so hard to play a winning card
And it??s not so hard any way.
We are where dog eats dog for all our sakes,
We are where all can see
And what about me where am I?
There in the mirror?
Inside out reflects outside in,
Reflecting the time to begin.
She walks into a room of comfort,
Stepping through the walls in her mind
To rest weary limbs.
To blend into whispering walls which call.
Visions shimmer along the drapes,
As silken dreams lushly flowing.
Rich colours of expression
In a room of chosen solace.
Why does she sense a bite?
In a room with a view.
She grasps the air for what its worth,
She was caught in chains
As she fell to earth.
Locked in chains,
They??re so heavy,
She tries not to shatter.
She will take you down the hall
Where a comfortable chair awaits,
For your weight
In jewels
And lust.
So she fussed
And patted a head in memory of innocence,
Fading back to the view
Of a chair somewhere,
To sit and wait
For the affairs of fortune.
At the end of the corridor
She found her perfect state.
