He was an American poet and writer!. (He's dead now)!. He wrote many scary poems, most famously The Raven, which is about a man who is visited by a raven after his love dies, and the raven will only say one word: Nevermore!. His most famous short story is probably The Tell Tale Heart, which is about a guy who kills an old man and then hears the old man's 'heartbeat' (really it was his own and drove him to confess), or The Pit and the Pendulum, which is about a guy strapped to a board who watches an axe swing closer and closer to him for hours!.
