Question: Any grownup fantasy-story fans out there!?
hi guys !.!.!. it sounds a little stupid but this question is one of my main concerns right now!!!
i'm a 18y!.o fantasy-story\myth fan and i spend a lot of time reading different mythologies and stories , but a lot of adults around me find these things boring an childish just because they are not real!!!
i was wondering if there are any of you grownups still reading this stuff !.!.!. i mean come on guys some of the greatest works of world literature!.
are complete fantasy !!!
take the persian shahname(i'm iranian and i luv it!) or the 'norse sagas 'or the 'divine comedy 'for example!. these are all ancient pieces of literature by famous writers and poets !.
and for modern examples take lotr or classic works like dracula !.!.!. why adults don't take these stuff seriously !? enlighten me pleaseWww@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with you!. There are some fantastic pieces of fanasy!. I love C!.S!. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia and I love twisted fairy tales like Ella Enchanted!. I enjoy regular fairy tales too and Arabian Nights!. Everyone has their own taste - my own sister prefers real life stories and finds my choices, well, childish!. On the flipside, I find most real life stories tedious!. I'd say as long as you can still live and function in the real world, there's nothing to worry about in your preference in reading!. It's a recreational activity so read what you enjoy!!

(btw, if it helps any, I'm 26)

Happy reading :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Read the Inheritance Cycle!. Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr by Christopher Paolini!. Eragon was made a movie but don't watch it if you haven't and if you have its way off from the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
