Why not read both!?
I haven't read Power of Five, but it seems that authors get worse over time write (case point: Artemis Fowl, Harry Potter) and Horowitz wrote the Alex Rider series first!. The Alex Rider series is pretty good, but after the third or fourth book it starts to falter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
