Question: For Bryce Courtney readers!?
I've read all of Bryce Courtney's books, and I love his style!. Are there any other novelists on a similar line!? Would you recommend any other books you've read and think I might like them!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I've read the majority of Bryce Courtenay's books!. Some i love (April Fools Day, Four Fires, Jessica, Power of One) and some I seriously just couldn't finish (Smoky Joe's Cafe and The Potato Factory)!.

Some other books I loved, that were similar maybe not in style, but in amazing plots and real characters, are
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Angela's Ashes by Frank McCourt

I'm thinking that if you like Bryce Courtenay then you're from Australia, which means I can finally recommend to someone John Marsden!. His books are generally aimed at teenagers but they are so real and beautifully written, and often deal with such mature themes that I know that if you were under 16 you'd have to be exceptionally mature in order to comprehend them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Did you ever read the "Potato Factory"!?

I fell asleep!. Boring
Jessica was an interesting read though!. I cried lots!. I think he wrote Jessica!? Meh whatever!.
Four Fires was so-so!. I could actually finish that one!!
But he is a good writer!. You know he's like really old now, like 80
WOAH
I only took an interest in him cause he's AustralianWww@QuestionHome@Com

The Potato Factory was so boring I couldn't finish it - I gave it to my brother and he couldn't finish it either!.

Try Jeffrey Archer - Prisoner of Birth - couldn't put it down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
