Question: Should I buy the Sookie Stackhouse series!?

I watched season 1 of True Blood and heard it was based on the Sookie Stackhouse series, is it worth buying!? I really want to read them, if they are anything like the show!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have read seven books and am waiting for the cheaper paperback version of the eighth novel!. I have to say it is better than the series!. I liked the series but loved the books!. The series changes a lot of things and focuses less on Sookie and more on some of the other characters!. The book is written in Sookies perspective!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely!. You should definitely buy the books!. I recommend that you purchase Book 1 "Dead Until Dark" and read it before purchasing the rest of the books in the series, just to make sure you like Charlaine Harris' writing style!. However, if you liked True Blood, you'll LOVE the books!

I've read all of the books and also watched the entire first season of True Blood and I can tell you that the books and the HBO show compliment one another quite well!.
