Question: Would you read a plot that goes something like this!? And you might also want to give me some advice!?
im currently writing a story about two girls:

Let's say their name is X and Y!. they're cousins!.!.cousin X father died a year ago and she'd been passed around to her relatives and then she got passed to her father's sister who happens to be Y's mother!.!.!.the two don't get along well and always end up fighting!. they share this little bedroom!.

When they started to get along, Y give a present to cousin X for her bday!. She gave her two notebooks because her cousin loves to write novels!. X usually inserts herself in her stories to fulfill her wishes (yeah kind of like a Mary Sue self insert!.!.) Then, whatever she writes in book 1(which is mostly about her longings), it will happen!.!.they cannot erase anything that has been written in book one but later on they find out the other book is for reversing or revoking what was written on the other book!. Then cousin X took control of her life by writing whatever she wanted to happen in book 1 and if her wishes were beyond the line, Y would write in the book of remedy to reverse what was written in the other book!.

Then one time X wrote out of anger and written something terrible in the book then when she was about to reverse it, she found that the other book has run out of pages!.

I'm now on chapter nine!. Does the plot sound ok to you!? Should i continue writing it!? pls let me know if someone already made something similar to this!.!.!.so i'd be careful not to make a rip off and make the story my own with a different twist (coz i usually write and then later on find out that it is exactly like another person's writing!.!.)would you care giving me an advice too!? :) I intended this novel for young readers!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My advice would be to just write it!.
I used to write heaps but I'd get a couple of chapters into a story then absolutely hate it and start on something new!. I'd go back a year or so later and realize it wasn't at all bad but I couldn't get the feel for it back or the continuity in my writing!. So just write it and see where it takes you!.
As for the whole accidental plagiarism thing-everything is like that today if not entirely then to some degree-that's just what happens when you read alot- it becomes very hard to be totally original!.
But your idea sounds solid-run with it and then spend some time editing it :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow, that is cool!. No, I've never heard of anything exactly like your idea!. Yes, I'd read it!.
Why would Y have the other notebook!? If X discovered the power of the books, wouldn't X want to keep them both for herself!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It sounds a bit like "Marianne Dreams", except that in that case it was a pencil and her drawings affected her dreams!. But it's significantly different!.

The only thing which worries me is how powerful and dangerous a tool it is as presented!. Why wouldn't she use it to stop all wars, all sickness, all poverty, all hunger, all discrimination!.!.!.!? It seems to me that you're either going to have to make her incredibly self-centred or you're going to spend the entire book inventing reasons for why things happen that she can't fix!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

thats really good, great idea, you do have really brilliant ideas, its an unusual plot, ive never heard anything similar, do they end up becoming friends, or does one succed in wrecking the others life!?
how old are they, by the way!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It sounds like a really good story! The notebook idea sounds great!. I wish I had a notebook like that!. :D

I've never heard of any books that sound like your story!. You should definitely continue it, in my opinion!.

Make sure you know what's going to happen next, or you could develop writer's block!. I've done that on numerous occasions, and I eventually end up abandoning my stories because I can't think of anything else to write!

also, what do you mean by 'young readers'!?

Good luck!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
