Question: What pulls your interest into a book when reading the first line or paragraph!?
I'm writing a novel and I don't want you to write me a first line but I would like to know what pulls you into the story!?
I don't want to start off with my main character waking up or anything like that!.!.that is boring lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

Something really dramatic that keeps you wondering what's going on, or what is going to happen!. For example, "I woke up to hear piercing screaming" I know that's a bad first line but that type of sentence would make me wonder what's making her scream, what's going on etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The last book I read held my attention because it addresses the reader directly!. It warns the reader that the story is horrible, and is almost apologetic about it!. The book turned out to be awesome, and incredibly creative!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Generally speaking, if the first page can hold my interest, then I'm probably going to finish the book!. (:Www@QuestionHome@Com
