Question: Any good books (novels) to read over the vacation!?

hey i have a 3 week holiday, because of the economic failure i am not traveling this year!. so to keep me busy, and since its so cold outside, i would like to know good, interesting books you have read recentley!?!?!? mostley comedy, fiction, romance, adventure, mystery, or scary!!!! and please don't write twilight, i have already read that book and i know its the bomb, and i loved the last book, and the movie was fantastic!. thanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

Stormbreaker- One of my favorite boook ever!!

Eggs- A story about friendship, loss, and gain

Hoot- Peaonally I liked the movie better but the book is awesome too!.

Inheritance Cycle- Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr-Eragon was my favorite

The series of Unfortunate Events-very adventurous

I like Stephen King for long winter days stuck indoors!. I live in Florida, so I also like him for long summer days stuck indoors! I think his best are:

"The Shining" about a recovering alcoholic and his family, including psychic little boy Danny, spending the winter in an isolated old hotel that is the home of an evil, old entity that wants the boy's powers!. I actually screamed when I was reading this book it's SO scary!

"The Stand" is about a bio-weapon that kills 99% of the world's population!. In the US (the home of the plague) half of the 3 million survivors head for Las Vegas and darkness, while the others dream of an old black lady in a cornfield!. An grand epic!

"'Salem's Lot" a writer returns to his boyhood home to confront the evil presence there!. Very scary!

"Needful Things" is about a little curio shop that has just what you've been looking for!.!.!.or does it!?

Ok, here are some for young adult-adult books which I made a list of!. Tamora Pierce is very good, her books are fantasy and set on different world which is still rather medieval but has Gods and Goddesses, magic and other creatures!.

City of Bones and City of Ashes are both good!. By Cassandra Clare and the final in the trilogy is out next year!. It starts with a girl seeing these two guys and a girl stab someone at a club and then she realises only she can see them and then the body pretty much dissolves into the ground!.

Wicked Lovely and Ink Exchange by Mellissa Marr are also good and are connected but not so much you can't read the second one before the first!. The first is about Aislinn who can see faeries but knows they are bad luck and avoids them!. Then a faerie king comes, convinced she is his queen and poses as a student at her school, unaware she sees his true form!. The 2nd is about her friend who badly needs change so she gets a tattoo which sells her to another faerie king of dark things like hate and fear called Arial!.

Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins!. Set in future in Pandem (used to be North America) where there is 12 districts of poor people who have to give up a girl and boy each every year to fight each other!. Whoever survives out of the twenty four is showered by gifts!. Katniss's twelve year old weak sister is put up for it and she volunteers instead!.

Dead until Dark series by Charlaine Harris look good!. After Japanese scientists create fake blood, vampires come out of the closet and now live among us!. Sookie, a barmaid who can read people's minds unless she blocks them off, is immune to vampires' hypnotism, can tell if they are vampires and begins to date one called Bill who's mind is the only one she has never been able to read!.

Vampire Kiss series by Ellen Schreiber is about a goth and loner called Raven who begins to suspect that, to her delight, the new neighbours' son who is her age is a vampire!.

Marked/House of Night series by P!.C!. Cast and Kristin Cast!. In a world exactly like ours, except people know about vampires, Zoe is Marked, meaning that she will either become a vampire and go to the House of Night school or her body will reject it and she will die!.!.!.painfully!. And the Goddess of the Night (Vampire God) has granted her with extra gifts!.

Vampire Academy series/trilogy!. Rose is a cross between a vampire and a human who is set on protecting her best friend and mortal vampire princess Lissa from any threat!. However, the enemies want to kill Lissa so they are forced into Vampire Academy for safety
