When used properly a love triangle can be the best element to a story!. Otherwise, they can kill any sliver of hope for a good book!. Phantom of the Opera is (in my opinion) the original love triangle, and executed it perfectly!. It can't help but pull at your heartstrings!. Other ones, such as Twilight began good, but then got dragged on so long that it shriveled down to nothing!.
also, in my opinion, both choices have to attract the main character!. They both must love the main character, but there must only be one deciding factor that allows them to choose!. Another good example of a love triangle is 'Tristan and Isolde'!. Thanks!. Good question!

I have a love/hate relationship with love triangles!.!.!. i love them because they add suspense to the story (the reader doesn't know until the end who the main character will choose) and add another conflict to the plot, but I also hate them if I have a favorite guy that i want the main character to choose!. They are just extremely frustrating!.!.!.GAHWww@QuestionHome@Com

Sotries with love triangles cause for a very twisted plot!. The best love triangle is in Avalon High!. You read this thing and you think "What the @#%!" because the plot is very weird and aslo using love triangles gives the reader a more open mind to search for answers because love triangles open more questions!.

They're fine when done properly, but horribly cheesy and cliche when not!. For instance, The Phantom Of The Opera has an interesting and heartbreaking love triangle; Twilight has an annoying one!. If you can do it the right way, I like them, but love triangles easily become cliched!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love them, but I usually end up wanting the character that the other two characters love to pick character B, but then she/he picks Character D!. >:0Www@QuestionHome@Com

they make my head hurt!. i do like them because they add depth to the story!. i really like them when the two people who were meant to be together still end up together because to me that shows what true love can withstand!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They're good if the story's written well!. They also have to fit with the story (Phantom of the Opera)and not just be a lame attempt to add conflict (Twilight)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They can be good if executed properly!. Otherwise they just turn annoying after a while (like in Twilight - I wanted to scream at Bella to CHOOSE already!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

They make a good story!. Really tense and exciting, especially when the three involved are best mates!.
The only thing I don't like is when the couple I go for doesn't happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love them!. Especially The Phantom of the Opera!. But they make me cry!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
