i am going to watch it for the 11th time tommorow!. i have used all my money from my piggy bank just for that movie and i am ashamed to say i don't have money for christmas (i am fifteen incase you're wondering) but it is totaly worth it!.the reason why i read the book so much and watch the movie is because i want a love like that!. i want some handsome guy to tell me,"you have no idea how long i've waited for you!." and when you're dressed up to the dance,but you're leg is severed and he still thinks you look beautiful!.i want a guy thats going to teach me a lot in life and to make me happy and to protect me from whats keeping me down!.i love twilight because it is a story portrayed that if you're willing to fall in love,take risks!.okay,okay,i'm not asking for a vampire to carry me around the romantic tress and to protect me from a vampire to suck my blood,but i love twilight because i can relate to it!.personally,i believe the books are MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than the movie!.they should of never chose Robert Pattison for the part!.He could of been one of the other Cullens,but Edward Cullen,i'm sorry,that's not so good!.

I liked Twilight, it's entertaining, it's nicely written, but it's not great art!.

Something I really liked about it though, was the lack of sex!. Laurel K Hamilton could take a leaf out of Stephanie Meyer's book on how to build connections between charactors without all the raunch!.

I'm no prude, but I prefered the lots of plot in Twilight to the lots of the other in the Anita Blake books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is the billionth time I've said this, and you are the billionth person to solicit this opinion out of me; but I loathe it!. Its badly written, unoriginal, and just otherwise utterly awful; but it does have on thing going for it: its actually getting people to read!. Our minds have been destroyed by television, and any book that people are actually picking up deserves my respect!. I am happy that people are reading!. It's not my thing, but people are actually reading it!. That's all I care about, that people are reading something; because I hope one day to write things that people actually read, it lets me know that people actually do pick up these mysterious things call 'books' every now and again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

EDIT: One reason is that it encourages an abusive relationship, and here's proof that its abusive!.

Edward is jealous of Jacob, to the tune of actively preventing her from having a relationship with him!. Abuse red flag number one!.
Edward isolates Bella from her friends, then abandons her!. At that time, he tells her "you aren't good enough," in blatant disregard for how this is going to hurt her!.
In abandoning her, he forbids her best friend - Alice - from seeing her!.
arrow "I couldn't live without you!." : Edward attempts suicide over Bella, telling her beforehand that he's planning on doing so!. Control tactic!.
Edward encourages Bella to lie to her father about seeing him, and furthermore sneaks around Charlie's back in order to see Bella after curfew and before Charlie knew about the relationship!.
Edward frightens Bella unnecessarily with his vampirism but does not take steps to ensure her safety!.
Edward does not allow Bella to make her own decisions or to disagree with him!.
In the beginning of New Moon, Edward hides, takes, or destroys all her possessions that are associated with him!.
Edward takes Bella's belongings that are associated with him in an effort to control her healing process!. But Bella is in charge of how she deals with the loss!.
Edward watches Bella while she sleeps!. Even before Bella is aware that he is doing so!. A violation of privacy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt too many people over 18 like it!. I personally think it has NO real story, just a bunch of events between bella and edward!. Nothing unique about the story either!. Not saying its not interesting, but there literature wise, its very unoriginal!.
and people freak out about it so much, its obnoxious!. they say "OH FCK YOU AND YOUR QUESTION, BUT I LOVE TWILIGHT!." when it has nothing to do with it
literally!. people ACTUALLY answer like that!. yet, if you say ' i dont like it' theyll slaughter you and say you have no life!.

The first book was really good- in fact, I loved it!
The second book was alright, and then the third one!.!.!. my friend gave it to me for Christmas, but I keep reading it then stopping because it's too thick and I just can't be bothered!. Plus, it wasn't as great as the first or second book!. And I haven't even started reading the fourth one!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I thought it was a wonderful storyline, with well developed, unique, and intriguing characters!. I got hooked on the series and read them all within a week!. I couldn't get enough of the idea that people could feel that way about each other!. (Yes I know Edward is not a person!.!.!.!.!.but still)!. Oh my gosh I LOVE it! I hate it when people say, "I read it because of Edward! EEEE!!!!!!!!" Ugh! That annoys me so much! There is more to it than a sexy vampire that glitters in the sun! Although, that is pretty hot!. I love the plot, and the Romeo and Juliet feel about it, you know, like the Forbidden Romance!? AH! I LOVE IT!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
