Question: What skin tone should my vampire have!?
His name is William Charles Calloway, and he is a vampire!. Do not think Twilight because trust me, this guy is no Edward!. He is very tall and has a lean body build, not muscular but still has a strong hardened look about him!. His hair is long and a very dark brown (almost black) and his bangs are overly long and always hanging low over his eyes!. His eyes are a bright emerald green!. I can't choose on what skin tone to make him have!.!.!.!.I keep going back and forth and I'm really starting to get on my own nerves!.
Here is what I am considering (though I am open to other options too)
1!. Lightly tanned!. not so dark that he wouldn't count as fair skinned but dark enough so that he's not pale
2!. Pale, not snow white, more of an ashen color!. He is very troubled and I think that the ashen tone could add to his i dunno!.!.!.!.dark look
3!. olive!. not too dark but definitely olive toned
I have been having a really hard time on deciding this!. I think that he would look most natural with lightly tanned skin, but most intresting with pale!. His love intrest has very pale skin and I think that either tan or olive would be a good contrast but!.!.!.i dunno!. What do you think would look best!? Thank you :)
Oh, and in MY book, vampires can have all kinds of skin tones!. They don't have to be pale!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say make him lightly tanned!. It would be a nice contrast from the girl and make your vampire stand out a bit!. I also think it matches the description you've given of him the best!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

he shouldbn't have any skin at all!. like a skinned rabbit or a bad burn victim!. that woudl be original

and i wouldn't bother with the 'bright emerald eyes' its very overdone!. in books mysterious people always have green eyes, whats wrong with brown/Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your vampire's hungry, make it pasty white!. If your vampire's full and satiated, make it red!. If your vampire's dining, make it Cabernet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I personally like pale, or maybe tanned!. however, i was never really one for the olive type skin!. then again, if the olive isnt very dark, then that is good too!. My vote is pale!!! :) good luck with the story!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

go with olive!.!.!.!. it's different and exotic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pale!. Like death!. There should be no color to it except for ashen gray!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In my opinion, I would use olive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that pale would look nice!. Is this a book you're writing!? I would love to read it! :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

i would say a pale tan color to not over do itWww@QuestionHome@Com

i like pale or oliveWww@QuestionHome@Com

pale and grayishWww@QuestionHome@Com

What if he becomes darker as he ages unlike other vampires who become paler!. It may detract from handsomeness!. This is not a slight towards black people, but just imagine a naturally white person who's burnt colored or eventually have skin that's unnaturally black like oil!.!.!. maybe reflective too!. Though less romantic, it would be more tragic which is always the more interesting of the two themes when it comes to vampires!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
