Question: What book(s) should I get for my Dad!?
This Christmas I still haven't managed to get anything for my Dad!. He's certainly the most difficult person to shop for! So this year I was thinking he would appreciate it if I got him some good books since he likes to read so much!. He likes books that involve sports, like The Money Shot by (I think) Brian Rouff, and also books involving history like "Undaunted Courage" by Stephen E!. Ambrose!. I'm looking for some really good books that my father, who's in his 50's, would really enjoy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you don't mind spending at least $30, one of the hottest history books out right now is American Lion, a book on Andrew Jackson!. If that is way out of your price range, there's Team of Rivals which is all about Lincoln's political cabinet and how he had both Republicans and Democrats!. He might also enjoy Pillars of the Earth but my guess is he may have already read it!. It's been out for 20 years! It's historical fiction on the cathedrals!. If he has read it, the sequel came out in paperback a few months ago and it's called World Without End!. For sports, Boys Will Be Boys has been really popular!. Again a hardcover around $25!. Tony Dungy's Quiet Strength comes recommended and it is available in paperback!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know nothing about sports books, but if he likes History, try "The People Of The Book' by Geraldine Brooks!.

It's about a book, which has survived nearly a thousand years, and all the people, from all over the world who looked after it, saved it from war, wrote it, added to it etc etc over the centuries!. I found it fascinating, absolutely stunning, lots of tales of courage, lots of interesting twists!.

If not that, then try some of the books by Robert Harris, Fatherland, Archangel, Pompeii for example, all fictional stories, but he knows his stuff about the history, making them seem very real!.

Good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

my dad gives me books to read all the time! so idk if your dad has exactly the same taste, but its worth a shot!.!.!.

a lot of those books are murder mystery type, but with the exception of one or two of those, i read every book, and they are amazing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
