Question: Have you read the twilight book and felt left out because you are the only one that doesnt like it :s!?

So all my friends have read the complete series and have been going on about this book for agess! then when i finally get a chance to read it!.!.!. i dont like it!. they are always using that against me now [but they are my friends, so ti was kinda in a jokey way]!.!.!. have you not enjoyed the book and stopped reading it aswell!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow, you should be proud of yourself!. I don't just "not like" that series, I DETEST it!. It's horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE!. It is incredibly boring, has no plot, has one dimensional characters, and teaches horrible lessons!. You should be proud of yourself for realizing that that dreadful series wasn't good!. I read it before it became popular and I hated it!. Everyone else was madly in love with generic, controlling, stalker boyfriend Edward, while I wanted to kill him and his generic Mary Sue girlfriend Bella!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I ususally finish the book first, I say though if you didn't like the first one, probably won't enjoy the second one, but the third one has lots of action in it!. Forth one I don't blame anyone if they say they don't like it!. But don't worry one this with Twilight, in a few months it will fall out and no one will be talking about it again!. I don't think it has the potential to be known and read for years to some, like stories Pride and Prejudice or The Great Gatsby!. Really, Harry Potter will be the major story generations to come will be reading!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I read Twilight and I didn't really like it because I thought Bella was one-dimensional and there was no basis for her relationship with Edward!. What, she loves him so desperately because he's so beautiful!? Please, that's not enough!.

Then a friend told me that in later books Bella gives birth to Edward's child out of wedlock and eventually becomes a vampire!. WHAT!!!! These are the lessons we want to teach our adolescents!? That it's romantic to be an unwed teenage mother and to DIE for a man!?

This is some of the most socially irresponsible literature I've ever seen, and now I find the whole series intolerable because of that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

# of friends I have who don't like Twilight-1 (She hasn't read it yet because the library and our local Wal-Mart are currently out of stock, I have around 15 close friends who I can talk to Twilight about all the stinking time!. I actually liked Twilight a lot but for different reasons than most people!. I don't see the appeal of Edward at all!. I just thought it was a fun story!. I didn't like any of the others as much!. I have NO IDEA why these books are so popular!. They are ok, Twilight being the best!. I didn't enjoy it!.!.!. I tend to be an individual thinker so the "general consensus" did not affect me with several books!. Sometimes the average person will like a book that you won't and yeah it can be alienating!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
