Well!.!.!. got to start with a topic; "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is about a star that is of particular interest by somebody!. "The Passionate Shepherd to His Beloved" is about a shepherd's promises to his beloved!. So start out now with a topic that you loved!.

Do you love to talk about your dog (if you have one)!? Why not make a poem about it!. Or how about you first love!? Your mother!? Or just the ordinary glass of water on your table!? How about the unfairness of your teacher!? Or your belief or doupt about the idea of God!? Take your pick or find one!. You can make poetry out of those!. Select one and start!.

Now narrow it!. What would you like to talk about your topic!? If it is about your dog: do you like to talk about his friendly nature!? About how much he love you!? If its about your mother: want to talk about how she take care of you!? About how she loved your dad!? If its about the glass: what is it for you!? How it get there!? How is it made!? Sticking with this narrow topics help you focus your poem and make the poem more clear to the readers!.

Now start writing about the topic of your choosing!. You can brainstorm, or directly start a draft poem!. Its your way!.

advice: be careful with these!!!
-very general topics!. Love, greed, friendship, etc!. Such things are nebulous and are very hard to visualize!. Unless your such a good poet!. avoid it!. If you choose such general topics you had to narrow it!. If its Love: motherly love, lovers love, puppy love!? ->Motherly love!.!.!. your mother's motherly love, your friends motherly love!.!.!.!? -> your mother's motherly love!.!.!. and so on until you have narrow your topic enough that you are sure to be in comfort with it!.

-very general words ( community, lovers, people, etc )!. Like general topics this leads to a very uninteresting poems!. These are hard to visualize and therefore uninteresting!. So instead of mother, my mother!. Instead of people, passengers or neighbors, etc!., whatever that is more appropriate!. Of course you could use this words, only if they are appropriate!.

-very flowery words and clinches!. Don't try the burden your poem with these as if your poem is a love letter!. Writing something like "round tempting blue eyes", and such stuff, if used carelessly, only says that your a very uncreative idiot pretending to be a pro poet!. Use these words only when they really clarify what you are saying!. When you use them just to impress other people, your are in trouble of writing garbage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I haven't written anything in ages too! My writer's block happened when my screenplay didn't get such a great mark!.!.!. I'm sure it will go away soon though!. It's happened to me before, an inspiration strikes you again unexpectedly, so just wait for it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go take a walk to clear your mind!. Then come back and just start free writing on whatever pops into your mind for 5 minutes!. DON'T THINK, JUST WRITE!. (Just ramble on about that weird tree you saw on your walk in paragraph form!. Don't worry about punctuation!. Let your pen initiate thought, don't wait for a thought to write down!.) Then reread what you wrote!. Chances are you came up with some really good ideas/observations!. Then start writing the poems!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hahahaha!. That happens to me a lot!. We cannot really help you with what to write, but we can give you advice!. This is what I do!. A lot of things come to me when I sleep, so keep a journal and pen by your bed and scribble stuff out in your sleep!. The next morning you look at it and have ideas!. also, think of things you are good at, of your family, tragedies, etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

im no writer but my friend i so i always help her get through it!. my best advice is to maybe go for a walk talk to your english teacher if you are in school or call a friend!. You should also try to lay down and rest kinda let your brain relaxWww@QuestionHome@Com
