Oh yes! If you're looking for e-texts/e-books, there are indeed places to read stuff for free!. Mostly, though, I think you'll find free-read archives full of classic books/books in the public domain (ones for which the copyright has expired)!.

I believe "Indigo" by Alice Hoffman (if that's the one you're talking about) might be to recent a release for it to be found online for free!. ;)

Here are some places to read other stuff, though:

http://www!.online-literature!.com/author_!.!.!. -- a good place for classics!.

http://librivox!.org/ -- here you can *listen* to audio files of many classics, recorded by volunteers!. Invaluable!. =D

http://www!.planetpdf!.com/free_pdf_ebooks!.!.!. -- haven't checked this one out much, but it looks promising!.

http://www!.gutenberg!.org/wiki/Main_Page -- a famous site for free reading!.

http://books!.google!.com -- you can get limited previews of books here, often!. (Here's the link to one for "Indigo": http://books!.google!.com/books!?id=0dq8GbD!.!.!.

Hope that helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try Arcamax books!. Now, it's not modern books, but more "classic" ones!. There are some great books there, thousands, both fiction and non-ficiton, on a variety of topics!. You can either read them online or have them to email you a "section" (which is usually a chapter) a day until you have finished!. You can save and print these as well!.

I love this site! Enjoy!
