Yes, you should begin your novel!.

You should read as many books as possible, but if you haven't that's no reason to put off writing!. You can always read between writings, and after you're done writing!.

As for studying the craft!.!.!.I find that the best way to learn how to write better is -- to write!. My first novel was absolutely terrible!. I look back and find it hard to believe that it was ME who wrote that! But when you write, you learn from your mistakes!. Maybe this first piece won't ever get published, or even be any good!. That's normal, because the next one will be greatly improved since you didn't make the same mistakes as you did on the last one!. The important thing is to keep writing!.

Make sure that you do research on any parts of your story you've never experienced, to make them seem more realistic (assuming your novel will be like the real world in some way)!. also, don't spend too much time trying to make every little detail perfect!. There will be plenty of time when you're completely finished to go back and polish up your work!. These (among others) are some of the mistakes that I made the first time around!. Hopefully this has helped you not to do the same!

Good luck!. I hope you go far!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've been writing for almost three years and i'll be 16 in may!. I see no reason as to why you shouldn't start!. Get your ideas out on paper before you forget them and keep a journal with you everywhere you go so whenever you get a new idea for any part in the book, you can at least get the idea going!. Then have another book for the full thing!. I'm currently working on a piece that I am extremely passionate about and though I know it's probably not the greatest writing ever, I have the story outlined!. You can do the same thing!. Write out your story now, then as your writing develops, you can go back and re-write it!. It sounds annoying an monotonous, but it deffinately works!. I had a writing sample I wrote at least three times and I brought it to an english teacher and they said it was one of the best peices they had ever seen from a student - I was 14 at the time!. Now when I go back and compare my first draft of it to the final, I can't help but joke about how bad the first one was!.

I SAY YOU START WRITING!! Don't think that just because your 16 means you can't write!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm writing a story right now and I don't know if it will be a novel but it is fun to write!. I would start if you have a good idea!. It's fun just to have your friends and family read it too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Start now!. I 1st started writing when i was 5 and i am 22 to now!. You can't improve your writing if you don't write!. Besides you may just be good as you are now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would just start it, study "the craft" later!. You already read some books, you have some ideas, just write! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
