I just "Googled" it for you, and in many instances it said that Running With Scissors was, indeed, a banned book!.

I believe it was banned in 2007, but I'm not certain!.

I read Running With Scissors, and I enjoyed it's almost satirical tone, despite the overall depressing mood it was littered with!.

It was challenged because of sexual content at Howell High School in Howell, Michigan, but the challenge wasn't successful so the book wasn't taken out of the high school!.

also the family in the book sued Augusten Burroughs because of the way they were depicted!. They reached a settlement!. The book is still being sold but a disclaimer is now at the beginning of the book & the word memoir was taken off the cover!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I bought it a few years ago, I think I got it from Waterstones but I'm not sure!. It was definately one of the major bookstores!. I never heard about it being banned, why was that!? I thought it was great, gritty in places but well worth the read!. I'm really interested to know why it may have been banned and by whom!Www@QuestionHome@Com
