In The Kite Runner, are Ali and Rahim Khan the same person?

Question: In The Kite Runner, are Ali and Rahim Khan the same person!?

I'm about one third of the way through the book, but I'm puzzled by the characters Ali, and Rahim Khan!. I've been reading it as if they were the same person, Hassan's father!.

(By the way, the book is amazing so far!! But I was hoping to clear this up before going any further)
