Question: Do you think this is a good plot!?
I am midway through the novel I am writing!. Do you think the following is a good plot (please rate from 1-10 and explain how I can improve the plot)!?

Time period, before the 20th century!. Setting, in a mostly rural area!.

A king regarded as greedy, selfish, dishonest, and unjust plans to cleanse his newborn under a clergyman, who was a friend to him for decades!. The clergyman increasingly angry with the king gets entangled into an assassination plan!. The meat of the story is planning the assassination as it is carried out, killing the king and all of his family!. In a nutshell!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Reversing the roles of Henry II and Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas à Becket!.!.!. cool!. But Becket was the one getting angry at Henry's demands, just like your clergyman!. It is a good plot, intrigue & all that!.!.!. sounds like something I'd read, all right!. Does your man have enough clout to openly refuse your king!? Any sinister peasants in on the plot that could betray the clergyman!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm kind of a history buff, so I would find this pretty interesting!. I think its sounds really good though!. Are you going to do something like the clergyman is told he has to be the assassin since he is the only one who can get close enough to the king!? then you could have like a climatic part or something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
