Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yeah we understand it!. It isn't that difficult!. I read them and understood that first year, meant first year at Hogwarts and not that he was in the first grade or something!. The schooling is almost equivilent to American High School ages!. No worries, we got it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Hi there, I don't think there would be a huge problem!. Europeans understand Bollywood movies, even if they've never been to India!. South Americans understand 19th century Russian novelists, even if they don't drink vodka!. So, really, I think any American will be able to figure out what is meant by "first year", especially since the age is mentioned when you start with that!. Shouldn't be that hard!.!.!. Cheers SWww@QuestionHome@Com Harry Potter is a huge book over here in America!. The school ages don't matter!.!.!. all that is said is "First Year" instead of "First Grade", etc!. Money is rarey mentioned outside of the knuts, sickles, and galleons of the Potterverse!.
