Question: Anne Bradstreet poem meaning help!?!!?
"My fifth, whose down is yet scarce gone,
Is 'mongst the shrubs and bushes flown
And as his wings increase in strength
On higher boughs he'll perch at length!."
So, for an assignment, I'm supposed to list what each of Anne's children's destinies were based on her poem!. I was doing okay, until I got to her fifth child!. Can somebody tell me what the passage above means!.
And, please don't tell me to do my homework myself and stop being lazy or something like that!. It's not that I'm lazy!. Honestly, I'd rather ask somebody else to help me with this, but nobody's available right now and I really need this assignment done!. But, that's not the point!. Hah!.

OK, if you promise you're not just being lazy!. :) Her fifth is compared here to a little bird!. It's down is just disappearing!. Line 2 extends this metaphor!. Lines 3 and 4 suggest that his/her destiny is to achieve great things as he matures and gains (emotional and intellectual, probably) strength!. You owe me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
