Question: Twilight in Summer Reading list!?
Anyways, in my school, Twilight is one of the summer reading books for 10th grade!. I haven't seen the list since Summer began, so it may even be 11th!.
I think this is complete bull!.
A 5th grader could read this!. (Granted, the last book does have some confusing parts, but only if you look hard enough!. And they will have a false image of love) I'm pretty sure 5th graders DO read it!.
If I get that for my summer reading list this summer, I'm going to write to the school board telling them why it's lulzy they do that!.
Of course, the summer reading tests are seriously hard and focus on stupid details!.!.!.
Now to the question: How would you react if Twilight was on your summer reading list!? Happy that you already read it!? Happy that you already read it, but sad that it's actually a summer reading book for 10/11th grade!? Laughing at the idiocy!? Not really care!? Some other!?
I know it's stupid for me to laugh about this, but I just couldn't resist!.
With the rediculous tests they give, I maybe could understand why Twilight would be in it!. I mean, a question may even be "What's the name of Bella's school!?" Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would be sad that the education has fallen so low as to put such a horrible book on the summer reading list!. I'd be happy I already read so I wouldn't have to endure such torture again, but then I'd cry because of the wasted time I spent reading it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the American education system has reached the point where Twilight is on a reading list (an indication they think it is good literature), we have reached a very low point indeed!. I can understand that some people enjoy it for the story, but that book has absolutely no literary value-- it is not a book that should be read in school!.

Things like this are making me lose faith in my generation's education and/or intelligence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Haha! I was just about to say it should be on a grade 3 reading list!. Grade 10!? It would never be on my school's reading list, my english teachers would have a heart attack!. My personal english teacher hates the books!. Twilight is a teenage romance novel, so your school probably thought more students would chose it!. If i were to ever receive Twilight on my summer reading list, I would first laugh!. Then I would complain and ask why anyone would do such a thing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would definitely protest!. While I enjoyed the story, there was nothing in it that made me consider it to be a decent work of literature!. That would be very sad if it was required reading for class because it would mean their standards have sunk very low indeed!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would complain to the superintendent that the school was trying to spoon feed me terrible "literature"!. "Twilight" is one of the poorest examples of "good" literature that an English department can choose!. It can't even be considered good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
