and can you get it from Hyperthermia!. What exactly happens during hypathermia!? i'm doing it for a book!. The main Charater falls threw the ice and gets stuck in the water until she gets saved!. She lies wrapped in a blanket while her boyfriend lies with her and tries to give her body heat as her friend rushes her to a hospital!. Can the body heat just not help!? It can happen!. If your heart doesn't stop in the first place just from the shock of the cold water!. When hypothermia hits, your body goes into overdrive to keep warm!. You shiver to produce body heat (from all the motion in your body from all the shivering) and your body temp tries to rise and your heart tries to pump more blood around your body!. Sometimes it tries too hard and pumps too hard and too fast and just burns out and stops!. Sometimes your vital organs can even cook inside you when your body temp spikes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
