Question: Has anyone read "A Child Called It" by Dave Peltzer!?

What did you think!? How did it make you feel!? I felt like strangling that poor kid when he became a man, as I just wanted him to kick his sadistic mother in the teeth, and yet he continued to try and bring her around to loving him!.!.!.!.!.!.Makes you wonder what other horrific abuses of children there are out there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have read it more than once!.!.!.I got the same feeling about the mother that you did!.!.!.Not the same about Dave though!.!.!.He still loved his mother no mater what she did to him!.!.!.He was a kid and many victims of child abuse still love their parents!.!.and they think that if they can somehow make their parents see this!.!.the abuse will somehow stop!.!.What infuriated me is how the rest of his family sat idle!.!.while this happened to him!.!.!.I am so happy that the school personnel took a stand!.!.!.got involved!.!.!.and got him out of that situation!. To think of what would have happened if they wouldn't have horrifies me!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i severely abused when i was a child, turned 17 and left home but I still try and make things right with my mother so I could see where he is coming from in this book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it made me SICK to read !.

That's a great book!. Really really horrible to read, but worth it!.And amazing that he came out of it all so normal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
