Question: I need a plot! Please help!?
I have a great character (don't know much about him yet as I need a plot to go around him lol) but I want to write a book about a man who is villified for what he is (don't know what yet maybe a vampire!? I dunno want to be original) but wants to be a good "person" but can't get over what society tells him is bad!. Basically how an anguished character who is a "villain" comes to term with what he is and is redeemed but is still who he is!. I want it to be a very thought provoking book but I don't have a plot and I can't think of anything! I like this character though!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, going back to English class 101, there are a few very basic plots!.
Man versus Man
Man versus Nature
Man versus the Supernatural
Man versus Himself
After you pick a basic plot, you can then add themes like revenge, star-crossed lovers, mystery, and redemption and so on!.
An example of Man verus Man would be the Hero battles the Villian stories!.
Man versus Nature would be the Hero battle the forces of Nature to accomplish his goal!. For example, the Perfect Storm!.
Man versus the Supernatural!. The show the Ghost Whisperer is a good example!.
Man versus Himself!. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a good example!. Buffy dealt with the supernatural but was really battling her own desires and her own weaknesses for most of the series!.
So, pick a basis plot and then write a story around it!. also remember that most stories revolve around a person or group of people who's daily routine has been interrupted!.
Buffy was doing fine as a regular teenager in highschool until someone came along to let her know she was the choosen one!. Talk about an interruption in the routine of your life!

amazing, you just described the tv series Forever Knight!. Why not put him in like a day in the life of an electrical current or something!.
