Question: Is the Sony e-reader any good!? !?
I travel quite a lot and when I'm away I tend to read a book a day - over 2 weeks, this adds up! An e-reader or similar would be very useful as it is much more portable than 14 books, but I have some concerns!. I know that the Sony e-reader works in conjunction with Waterstones, but I've heard that there are limited books available!. I've also heard that it can be clunky to use and that the "pages" turn very slowly, which would drive me bonkers!. I've heard good things about the Amazon Kindle, but this is unlikely to be available in the UK anytime soon because of mobile networking issues!. Are there any better options!? If I can't download my latest Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Meg Cabot, Janet Evanovich novels etc, this type of technology is not going to be much use to me!. Any comments/advice would be welcome!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I love my Sony Reader and take it everywhere!. I have 107 books on my one - the ones that came on the CD and two I have put on from Waterstones!. I have an up to date book on it from Joe Hill, S K's son!. You have to use the advance search for the e books on Waterstones!.

Go to E books, advance search add title you are looking for and select ebook in Format!.

I have a Sony reader (I live in America) and I enjoy it!. I don't think it's clunky, or that the pages turn too slowly!. It also has plenty of storage capacity!.

Regarding downloading, I stick with free e-books from places like http://www!.gutenberg!.org!. The only problem is that they are public domain books (published before 1923)!. You won't find modern books there!.

Do a search for "e-books" or "free e-books" and see what you get!. You may have to look around for a site that offers modern books!. I'm sure that someone offers them!.

Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
