I love that series of books, and I wanted to know if there were any other books similar to it!. Meaning like how dragons live among humans!.

Well, let's see!. The author reportedly liberated much from The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien!. You could try reading them!. This is not so much fantasy as Myth and Historical war finction!.

Then he is supposed to have liberated much from the Pern series by Anne [and now Todd] McCaffrey!. You could go and read them!. These are NOT fantasy by the way!.

If you must have fantasy, then try Diana Wynn Jones!. Better writer than Rowling!.

Well there are the sequels to the book, Eldest and Brisingr!.
Otherwise there is The Fire Within By Chris D’Lacey which is pretty awesome but the best cook you will ever read about dragons in your lifetime is the Never Ending story which is just masterart!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, there's Anne McCaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern series!. But that series is more like sci-fi/fantasy then just pure fantasy like Eragon!. It involves telepathic dragons living amongst humans and defending them!.
