I TOTALLY KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!

This may sound a tad corny, but as soon as I finished DH I felt like my WHOLE world had been cut short!. Then I'm like, 'great, all I have to look forwrad to now are the movies and the theme park!.' There were heaps of other fans who I found out felt exactly the same as me!.

I just couldn't believe that the series was going to end like that!.!.!. the trio with their families all bunched onto Platform Nine and Three Quarters!. Then I thought a bit later on that maybe this IS the right way to end it!.!.!. I mean, it still leaves a bit of mystery left, doesn't it!? I say that meaning that we don't exactly know what happens after!. If JK Rowling packed all this information into the 19 years later bit, don't you think we'd feel like 'wow, that's more than I needed to know!.' Like I said, there's still a future for the characters!. In my mind, that epilogie wasn't the end!. It's just the beginning!.!.!.

I don't know really!.!.!. sometimes I feel like the epilogue was good, and sometimes I hate it!. The moment I finished DH I certainly hated it!. I wanted more, dang nammit! How could my favourite series LIKE EVER end with the word 'well'!?

Well, it did!. I suppose there's nothing more we can do about it!.!.!.

But there's still The Tales of Beedle the Bard coming out on December 4, and the Harry Potter Encyclopedia!.!.!. and the movies, and the themepark!.!.!. and probably even more books my JK Rowling in the years to come!. I mean, writing is Jo's passion!. It's her choice of course, however someone with her ability!.!.!. her creativity!.!.!. I don't think she'll want to give up now!.

Anyway, I'll end off repeating that I know totally how you feel ;) The books are my world, too!. The epilogue was very dull in many ways, but it was still an ending!. And a pretty good one it was too, might I add, when I really think about it :D

No, I think the epilogue was fine!. She did leave out a lot of information, but I liked the points she stressed in the epilogue-- it went well with the overall theme of the series!. She could have elaborated a bit more, but I wasn't disappointed with it!. It could have been better, but it could have been worse, too!.

I'm glad that she skipped that far ahead!. I would have liked to see the years immediately following Voldemort's death, but I thought it was a good idea to skip that far ahead!. I'm a diehard HP fan, but the series needed to end sometime!. I'll still buy any future HP-related books she puts out, but I think it's good that she ended the series on a note where she can't really write much more about Harry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not sure I've found a single person who was content with the epilogue of 'Hallows!.' We all wish there could have been more, but in a way, JKR gave us a way to make our own assumations!. She wanted to make it short and sweet - a long story about what happened to everyone would have taken away from the overall impact of the end - it's called an EPILOGUE for a reason, I suppose!. Still, I, for one, would love more Potter!Www@QuestionHome@Com

if she kept it going for any longer it would get over-rated,
and each book would get progressively worse,
ruining a series by doing that is a sin, imo!.
and don't tell me your one of those twilight hating freaks who isn't satisfied unless theres a sad ending and half of the characters die!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
