FATE is the theme!.

ALL LITERATURE HAS A THEME, even if the person above me doesn't think so!. Even a pamphlet!.

A proving point would be imprinting!.!.!. it's bringing two soulmates together!.

There are many more, love (Well, read it ), choice (Jacob or Edward, Bella's eventual choice) , perserverance (of bella when she's pregnant, also of rosalie), lonliness (of Leah, also of Jacob!.), Duty or filial piety (Bella's duty of Renesmee, her feelings toward Jacob)!.

There are many more!.

My advice is to find a list of themes!. Most you could probably agree with are somewhere in your book, but root out the key ones!.

Good luck on your homework : )Www@QuestionHome@Com

Breaking Dawn (and the whole series) doesn't have a theme!. SMeyer said so herself!. The books don't have any of that hidden meaning stuff that is so often found in literature (what does this tell you!?)!.
So, you have to make things up and guess for your book reports if you choose a SMeyer novel!. The theme!? Actually, I would say it is either "Be prepared and do your research" (none of the bad or good things would have happened in BD if they had done a little research) or "True love conquers all" (but this is the theme for ALL of the Twilight books)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i don't know if this will help any, i hate writing theme statements!. but maybe something along the lines of: Even in the midst of a war love triumphs over all!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Didn't I just tell you what a theme is!?

A theme is a topic and the message the author is trying to tell you about the topic!. I gave you an example and everything! Okay, maybe it wasn't the nicest, but that is a legit example!.

What are topics addressed in the book!? What is Meyer saying about them!?

Some theme examples that are NOT necessarily from this book are love conquers all, deception never lasts, and beauty is only skin deep!. The topics are love, deception, and beauty!. The messages are that love *conquers all* and deception *doesn't last* and beauty is *only skin deep!.* Put together, they make a theme!.

How much more plainer can I make this for you!?

Edit: Yeah, as much as I hate Twilight and even though it's not a deep book at all, I have to agree with KiKi!. All literature does have a theme, whether the writer intends for there to be one or not!. Meyer meant that there was no moral to the story!. Not that there wasn't a theme!. There's a message in there somwhere, whether it's good or bad!. And KiKi actually came up with some good ones!. I personally like the "choice" one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
