Well, Ive been writing stories for about 4 years now, that means i started when I was 12!. So yeah most of my writing is set in times before, you know, modern times!. I write mostly in a medieval setting, with swords, and bows, and mythical beasts!. Just recently I got together with a friend and we decided to coauthor a novel!. It was a very!.!.!. demanding task!. It really was an outstanding book, it dealt with deities, you know like god's and demons!. But we put it on hold for the time being!. I also began writing a story about pirates because, besides the fact that my school's mascot is a pirate, I have NOT found a SINGLE book out there, that is decent enough and with enough fantasy, that is about pirates!.

My writing mostly involves fantasy, lands which don't exist, and the supernatural, that is, for the most part, magic, xD!. I love books which are epic and therefore write epic stories!. My audience range is from 15 year olds all the way to, at the max, 35 year olds, although they may be enjoyed by all kinds of people, and even older ones!. :p

I am completely serious about publishing my novels, I love to write, and I wish to share these grand stories with the rest of the peoples of the world!. =]!. I plan to make a living out of writing, of course besides my carrer, plus if writing may sustain me on it's own, then I'd love to become a full time writer!. Poetry, I'm strong at that too, and it sure does bring spice to novels, well, sometimes!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Far too many teenagers are writing books!. Teens would be much better served by *reading* a lot more literature than by making amateurish attempts at becoming novelists!. The vast majority of them don't have the talent, life experience, or understanding of English and composition to be successful at it!. If teens would put down the game controllers and pick up the Hemingway, Dickens, Shakespeare, Steinbeck, and Fitzgerald, the world would be a better place!.

Oh, and Gabrielle, unless you were raped your virginity wasn't taken from you - you gave it away!. There's a huge difference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I write short stories and send them into the newspaper to get published!. I really enjoy short stories, most of them are sci-fi or just plain straight fictional!. I'm not serious about writing a novel or anything of that sort!. I don't feel as if I'm really qualified enough to do that, nor do I have the ability to really capture audience in over 100 pages!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a 15 yr old female that is writing abook about how us girls today are giving in to those words "I lOVE YOU" by men\women today!. The main reason i am writing this is because i think its time for us to step up to the plate and take back whats ours!.!.!.!.!.!.!. OUR VIRGINITY!. It happened to me and i think its time someone do something about it!. It's about Straight, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Gays!. Not to be rude but i think Gay ppl are AWESOME you can learn a lot from them!. But yes i do write books and i am trying REALLY hard to get in contact with Zane because i am like her #1 fan!. I don't know any publishing company's but i do plan on getting this book published!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd say about half the teens in the U!.S!. are writing a novel, many of them vampire stories influenced by the Twilight books!. Otherwise they are soppy romantic tales!. I would imagine, based on the email I get, that 100% of those writing believe that their first drafts are worthy to be published by a major hour next week!. If you do just a tiny bit of research, you will find that this is not going to happen!. Publishing is a brutal business that has time only for the rare, rare few!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm in the process of two novels, and one short story!. These books are all just about finished and its been well over two years since i've started!. I'm 16!. My genre for all three is action/adventure!. My audience is other teens and I know how difficult publishing is, but I might give it a shot!. The worst they can do is say 'no'!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all Haley,i think you've misphrased your question,
your question should read how many teenagers are trying
to write books, A book is not considered written until it has
been published!.This doesn't just apply to teenagers, it also
applies to the greats such as Twain,Hemingway,Capote
even the immortals such as, HOMER,PLATO,SOCRATES
and even then ,they must be sold to be considered truly
written!.!.I would say at least 500 copies to make it official!.
good luck!. and don't be afraid of rejection!. even the best
get shot down!. Eric SWww@QuestionHome@Com
